The Ergo Group is a California based software consulting and products firm with expertise in the government and real estate sectors. We were established in 1999 by José Canela Cacho and Héctor Cárdenas with the mission to develop and deploy software solutions to specific business problems faced by government agencies and other private sector customers. as a consultant, public manager, teacher and researcher. He holds a Ph.D. in
public policy from the University of California at Berkeley and masters degrees in public policy and public
administration from Berkeley and from France's
Ecole Nationale d'Administration. He served in government
in the Mexican Foreign Ministry in various capacities. He left government after a stint as senior policy advisor to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has specialized in public management with a particular emphasis on business process reengineering and the use of information technologies to improve government services. José A. broad ranging professional and academic experience as a
consultant, public manager, teacher and researcher in the policy
field. He holds a Ph.D. in public policy from
Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in statistics and was trained as a lawyer in his native Mexico. He has government experience as the legal counsel to Mexico's NAFTA office in Washington D.C. during the trade agreement's negotiation phase. He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals both in the US and in Mexico on policy topics.
He specializes in the use of policy analytic
methods, including legal and statistical
analysis to solve public policy problems. He speaks English, Spanish and French. Alvaro Villagra , Director of Technology. With 20 years experience as a consultant and software architect, he leads The Ergo Group's technology development. He has broad ranging experience in both public and private sector technology projects having worked on projects for PEMEX, CFE, Infonavit and Profeco as well as the leading private companies in México. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from UNAM and Universidad de Chile.
